Mr. Groysman has been the Prime Minister of Ukraine since 14 April 2016. Groysman has indicated he would fight corruption and build closer ties with the European Union, which has complained about widespread and pervasive corruption in Ukraine’s government and economy.

From March 2006 until February 2014 Groysman was the Mayor of Vinnytsia. From then to November 2014, he held two concurrent positions as the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Regional Policy and the Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine. He was elected into parliament on the party lists of the pro-presidential Petro Poroshenko Bloc. Groysman’s next post was the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s national parliament), starting late November 2014 until being appointed Prime Minister.

Jaroslawa Z. Johnson was appointed WNISEF President and CEO effective January 1, 2015. Ms. Johnson directs, oversees and provides overall management for the WNISEF program activities and remains a member of the Fund’s Board of Directors in addition to her role as President and CEO.

Ms. Johnson was born in Ukraine and emigrated to the U.S. as a child. She is a graduate of Goucher College and University of Wisconsin Law School, where she was editor of the law review and earned a J.D. in 1977. After law school, she served as law clerk to Chief Judge Thomas E. Fairchild, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and practiced corporate law with several Chicago law firms.

She is a founding member and former chairperson of America Ukraine Business Council, which sponsored the first American visit of a Ukrainian president in 1991, and she organized the first Ukraine-U.S. Trade Conference for American companies in 1992. She was appointed by former U.S. President Bill Clinton to the Board of Directors of the Western NIS Enterprise Fund in 1994, serving as an active member of the Board since its inception.

Prior to her appointment as President and CEO of WNISEF, Ms. Johnson was managing partner of an international law office in Kyiv, Ukraine, which she launched in the early 1990s. Ms. Johnson’s extensive international corporate practice included counseling corporations in many countries on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing transactions, project finance and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance in the US and Central and Eastern Europe.

Over the course of more than two decades of international corporate legal work, Ms. Johnson advised many Fortune 500 companies and other Western multinationals on cross-border transactions with Ukraine. During her many years as an international corporate attorney in Ukraine, Ms. Johnson was consistently recognized by international legal directories as a leading lawyer in Ukraine’s corporate, banking and finance and energy sectors.

In August 2016 Jaroslawa Z. Johnson was awarded a Commemorative Medal on the Occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence by President Petro Poroshenko in recognition of her contribution to Ukraine over the past 23 years.

Iryna coordinates the Local Economic Development Program under which Western NIS Enterprise Fund supported a number of projects. In particular, the e-public procurement system ProZorro, ProZorro.Sale 1991 Open Data Incubator, Technovation Challenge project, CANactions Scholl of Urban Studies, reconstruction of schools in post-war territory, “Hub Schools” project and others.

Previously, Iryna worked at ADETEF, a public agency of French international technical assistance under the Ministry of Finance of France that ensures intergovernmental cooperation between the two countries at the national and regional levels in the field of public finance, audit, public service reform, energy efficiency and transport.

She is a member of the Board of the Professional Government Initiative, which brought together graduates of foreign universities to support the reforms. Iryna conducted a study on the role of graduates of foreign universities as change agents in Ukraine, the results of which were provided to the team of reformers at the Presidential Administration.
Master of Advanced European Studies at College of Europe (Warsaw), Iryna taught European integration policy at the National Academy of Public Administration, where she did her thesis.

The Mayor of Oslo is Head of the City Council and the highest-ranking representative of the city. Mrs. Marianne Borgen was elected Mayor by the City Council on October 21 2015.

Mayor Marianne Borgen was born in Oslo in 1951 and grew up in Groruddalen. She is married to Lars B. Kristofersen. They have three adult children, two grandchildren and live in Østensjø District.

She has a degree in sociology from the University of Oslo with a specialization in social policies and medical sociology. She has worked with children’s rights on both a national and international level for more than 25 years. She is currently on leave from her position as Head of Department at Save the Children, Norway.

Mrs. Borgen was elected as a member of Oslo City Council for the first time in 1979 for the Norwegian Socialist Left Party (SV) and has been a member of the City Council continuously since 1995. She was Committee Chair for the Standing Committee on Transport and Environmental Affairs 2011-2015. Prior to that, she was a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and the Standing Committee on Health and Social Welfare.

The Mayor is particularly preoccupied with children’s and young people’s rights and the conditions in which they grow up. Through her work as a Head of the office at the Ombudsman for Children and at Save the Children, she has worked in particular with prevention of violence and assault against children, and the situation of the children of asylum seekers and minors who seek asylum.

Mayor Marianne Borgen wants Oslo to be a city that is inclusive and a good place to grow up for all children.

Born in Kielce on 22 April 1954, he finished the Technical Building School in Zgoda Street to continue his education at Kraków Technical University, where he graduated in Civil Engineering. He started his career as a foreman at a construction site near Przemyśl. For 20 years he worked for the Kielce company “Chemadin”, where he worked his way up through the corporate hierarchy, from a foreman, junior manager, senior manager, to the president of the company with over two thousand subordinates. In 1999 he became the governor of the Świętokrzyskie Province. While performing this function, he initiated a number of projects to promote the region, e.g. the first meeting of the diplomatic corps in post-war Poland outside Warsaw, concerts and national art competitions and exhibitions “The Holy Cross” (a traditional symbol of the region), renovation of the ecumenical Temple of Peace in the former Polish Catholic church, erection of the first in the world monument of Miles Davis, the first billboard campaign promoting the province in Poland. As the świętokrzyski governor, Wojciech Lubawski created the “Dream Team”, a group of young, ambitious and very talented people of the region. He originated a catalogue of firms operating in the metal and machine industry which was compiled and sent to 2000 major European companies. Among his other initiatives there were: the publication “Świętokrzyskie – the heart of the Polish building industry”, the creation of a team responsible for Investment Information Online, and the European Hall. Świętokrzyski Provincial Government won the title of Poland’s most customer friendly government office, and the certificate of Quality Management System according to the standard PN-EN ISO 9001:2001.

Winning in the second round of self-government elections in November 2002, Wojciech Lubawski was elected the Mayor of Kielce and sworn into office on 19 November 2002.

During presidency 2002-2006 from the Mayor initiative many investments were implemented which contributed to the promotion of Kielce. Within the years of 2004-2006 the city successfully applied for European Union funds. The most visual effects of the project that had been implemented at that time are, inter alia, the constructions of new sports facilities – one of  the most modern football stadium in Poland and  the Multifunctional Sports Centre, a few indoor swimming pools, the revitalization of the city centre, opening new investments sites of Kielce Trade Fair, opening a new residence for the Museum of Toys and Play.
In the years 2004-2006 Kielce was one out of 8 partner cities taking part in the international In 2006, during the commemoration of the fifth anniversary of terrorist attack on WTC towers in New York, thanks to the initiative of  the Mayor the “Homo Homini” monument was erected. Thus, every year Kielce citizens meet together in order to express their protest against terrorist attacks all over the world. Thanks to the involvement of the Mayor of Kielce many composition for Kielce oratory “Tue es Petrus” had been written.It is a tribute to the Pope, John Paul II.

In November 2006, during the self government elections, Mr Wojciech Lubawski gained one of the best outcomes in Poland (72{906ca28f7ab3030e064897f03a18ab97e397a58ee19ca0ec033f5ecb2537e8e4} support) and for the second time he was elected the Mayor of Kielce.

In April, 2008 joint efforts of Kielce’s enthusiasts and the Mayor had brought into being Kielce Technology Park. Since the very beginning the mission of the new established institution is to generate the knowledge-based economy focusing on the competitiveness of  investment marketability of Swietokrzyskie region and creation of suitable conditions for giving an effective support to entrepreneurs oriented on new technologies.

Since the end of 2009 the largest project of the City of Kielce co-funded by the European Union had been implemented.„Development of the public transportation system in Kielce Metropolitan Area” contributed directly to overcome and/or eliminate numerous problems related to the transport infrastructure.

During the last but not least self-government elections that took place in November 2010, Mr Wojciech Lubawski  has won in the first round with the support of  58,66{906ca28f7ab3030e064897f03a18ab97e397a58ee19ca0ec033f5ecb2537e8e4}  of the Kielce population  and he has become the Mayor of Kielce for the third term.

According to the European Commission decision dated July 24th 2014, Kielce received the approval for expansion of their communication project with additional tasks. The project was expanded by another 8 tasks concerning: construction of bus lanes, another bus termini and bus bays, another 36 electronic information display boards, construction of bus platforms, equipment of busses with visual monitoring system, implementation of Kielce City Card System.

In June 2014, Kielce City was honoured by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe with the European Diploma for its contribution to the development of the European idea. The municipality was rewarded also for its active promotion of the European ideal twinings, events, exchange, visits, etc.

In the first round of the October, 2014 self government elections, Mr Wojcech Lubawski came first, receiving 55,27{906ca28f7ab3030e064897f03a18ab97e397a58ee19ca0ec033f5ecb2537e8e4} votes from Kielce citizens.

He has a wife – Małgorzata and two children: a son – Wojciech, and daughter – Małgorzata.

Gianluca Galletto is the founder and President of DG Advisors, providing strategic advice to businesses, governments and nonprofit organizations on global growth strategies. He has a deep background in global finance, business and policy, and he is an expert in international strategies to support economic development, innovation sectors and startup ecosystems. He is currently advising New York City’s Mayor’s Office for International Affairs on strategies to enhance the impact of foreign direct investments on the innovation economy, equity and the UN’s SDG in the city. He is also Sr. Advisor to Smart Cities NY, the leading conference on Smart City technologies in the U.S, and to Global Futures Group, a consultancy helping cities and countries devise innovative solutions to improve economic development, livability, and inclusion. His previous client was the Partnership for NYC, where he proposed and led an initiative to expand FDI in NYC and a study and survey on the city’s global competitiveness.

Gianluca is the former Director of International Business at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), which he joined in July 2014. His office’s mandate was to attract FDI, help NYC businesses expand globally and establish partnerships with cities around the world – with a focus on innovation sectors. During his tenure, he built a global network of relationships with investors, business and government leaders, often at the highest levels. He expanded the World2NYC program to lure tech companies to New York City, engaging with more than five hundred domestic and international companies, launched the International Innovators Initiative (IN2NYC), the first and largest citywide program in the US to provide uncapped H1B visas to foreign entrepreneurs. He also started the NYCEDC Global Business Exchange, a series of partnerships between New York and other cities providing a bilateral soft-landing platform for innovative companies expanding into each partner city.

Gianluca has 21 years of prior experience in the private sector with a background in economics and finance that complements his business development and strategic leadership skills. Using those skills, Gianluca advised clients, primarily start-ups, on growth strategies and raising capital for 4 years prior to joining NYCEDC. He is also a startup mentor and investor. From 1998 to 2009, he worked at Muzinich & Co., a world-class high yield asset manager, where he led the business development division, being responsible for new assets under management in excess of $1.5B. Prior to moving to the United States in 1996, he spent four years in Brussels, Belgium, where he worked as a
consultant for the EU Commission, providing technical assistance for economic development programs.

Over his entire life, Gianluca has been politically active, both in the US and in Europe, volunteering with fundraising efforts for Democratic campaigns, founding and leading the US Chapter of Former EU President Prodi’s Olive Tree Coalition, advising former Italian prime and finance ministers, liaising between European and US top government officials. He ran for Italy’s Lower House in the North American District in 2013. He speaks English, Italian, French and Spanish and holds an MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University and a BA/MA in Economics, Business and Law from Bocconi University in Milan. Gianluca is a former Fulbright scholar and a dual US/Italian citizen residing in New York City.

Marie Yovanovitch is the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine. She previously served as Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia (2008-2011) and the Kyrgyz Republic (2005-2008). She most recently served as the Dean of the School of Language Studies at the Foreign Service Institute, U.S. Department of State. Previously she was the International Advisor and Deputy Commandant at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, National Defense University. Earlier she served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs and before that as the bureau’s Deputy Assistant Secretary responsible for issues related to the Nordic, Baltic, and Central European countries.

In 2003-2004, Ambassador Yovanovitch was the Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs. Prior to that, she was the Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine. Within the Department of State, Ambassador Yovanovitch has worked on the Russia desk, the Office of European Security Affairs, and the Operations Center. She has also worked overseas at the U.S. Embassies in Moscow, London, Ottawa, and Mogadishu.

A Career Member of the Senior Foreign Service, Ambassador Yovanovitch has been granted the Senior Foreign Service Performance Award six times and the State Department’s Superior Honor Award on five occasions. She is also the recipient of the Presidential Distinguished Service Award and the Secretary’s Diplomacy in Human Rights Award.

Ambassador Yovanovitch is a graduate of Princeton University where she earned a BA in History and Russian Studies. She studied at the Pushkin Institute and received an MS from the National Defense University.

Dmytro Krepak is the acting Group Country Manager for 17 markets in CIS&SEE for Visa Inc., based in Kiev, Ukraine.

Dmytro joined Visa in 2015 as Country Manager for Ukraine. In 2016 he moved into the role of Country Manager for Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia assuming overall responsibility for a reorganized cluster within Visa’s CIS and South-East European business.

Dmytro has more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial institutions in the United States of America, Russia and Ukraine. He started his professional career back in 1994 at Barents Group, KPMG, Russia as a Consultant at Banking Sector Restructuring Project.  He joined Visa from Kredobank, Lvov (PKO Bank Polski Group) where he was the Chief Executive Officer/Chairman of the Management Board for more than three years. Prior to that Dmytro spent six years’ leading the retail business, strategy and projects at First Ukrainian International Bank and Raiffaisen Bank Aval. Before that Dmytro worked at Duke Energy, USA as Business Development Manager with a focus on building and managing an organization responsible for corporate customer acquisition by the power retail business.

Dmytro is a graduate from Moscow Institute for International Relations (Russia) having Master`s Degree in International Business Development. In 2001 he obtained his MBA degree from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Adam is Visa Inc.’s Head, Global Public Policy, based in San Francisco. In this role he leads Visa’s Global Public Policy function, which is tasked with developing the company’s thought leadership agenda, company-wide positions on major international policy trends impacting the electronic payments industry and deploying capacity-building platforms between Visa and public policy makers around the world.

Adam joined Visa in 2010 and was previously Vice President, Government Relations, based out of Sydney and leading a team of government facing professionals across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australasia and the Pacific.

Until October 2010, Adam served for three years as Chief of Staff in key national economic portfolios in the Australian Governments of Prime Ministers Rudd and Gillard, namely to the Assistant Treasurer and to the Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law.

These high-level political roles placed Adam at the center of Australia’s successful economic response to the global financial crisis of 2008-09, along with major roles in significant reforms in banking, superannuation and financial services, international development bank policy, private equity regulation, securities market reforms and critical Federal-State negotiations on consumer credit and finance, margin lending and mortgage regulation.

Prior to this Adam served as a Ministerial Chief of Staff for two years in the New South Wales Government. Adam has also held several private sector appointments, including working as a foreign lawyer in Tokyo with Anderson Mori & Tomotsune, one of Japan’s largest law firms, and in London with Freshfields Bruckhaus Derringer, a global top-three firm.

Adam holds a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economic, a Masters in Law (BCL) from Oxford University and degrees in both law and government from The University of Sydney. Adam has a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and Adam is an admitted Barrister and Attorney of the High Court of Australia and the New South Wales Supreme Court.

Otto Williams heads Strategic Partnerships, Fintechs and Ventures for Visa’s Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA) region. His focus is in identifying, structuring and commercializing compelling payments experiences and opportunities with Fintechs and strategic partners to extend the reach of Visa’s payment network for consumers, merchants and banks throughout the CEMEA region.

Prior to his current role, Otto oversaw Visa’s partnerships with multinational eCommerce brands, technology platforms and device providers that include Samsung, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Pinterest, eBay, Fitbit, Garmin, amongst others.  He and his team launched global programs including Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, Fitbit Pay and Garmin Pay with Visa Tokenization, the Visa Ready Partner Program and Visa Checkout Open Platform.

Prior to joining Visa, Otto worked as a software engineer in various verticals, and then joined Cowen and Company as an investment banker where he covered technology, internet and media companies.

Otto holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering, and an MBA from the University of California Berkeley.

Since July 2016 Mykhailo Shelemba is a CEO of telecommunication company Datagroup.

He started his career in banking sector, then joined McKinsey&Company in 2010, where he led projects in the banking, telecommunication, mining and metallurgy sectors in the European and the Middle Eastern regions. He was recognized as the best top manager of the telecom industry in 2017 according to Delo.ua.

Mykhailo focuses on the strategic development of the Company and the expansion of its activities. Since his appointment in Datagroup Mykhailo managed to significantly increase sales and introduce important processes of business transformation.

This year, according to the results of the business rating «Top-300. The Best Top Managers of Ukraine», rated by Delo.ua, Mikhail Shelemba entered the TOP-20 and became 13th among the most successful CEO of the country.

Datagroup’s initiatives and projects help to implement important innovations in the country.  The company is a reliable partner in the development of “Electronic Medicine” and “Safe City” in Ukraine.  With the help of satellite technologies «Datagroup» provides schools and hospitals with the Internet connection in remote locations where there is no technical ability to provide it any other way.

Datagroup – is an all-Ukrainian provider of telecommunication services for business and home. Today company is a leader in data transmission, international traffic transit and in satellite communications.  The company provides access to the Internet, telephony network and television, video conferencing and surveillance, data and satellite communications, as well as cloud solutions from Microsoft and protection from DDoS-attacks. Datagroup has a fiber-optic network throughout Ukraine and is one of the leaders in the geography of provided telecommunication services.

Thomas Tonger, 45, heads worldwide Product Planning and Product Management at Daimler Buses. This responsibility includes buses with alternative drivetrains and Bus Rapid Transit consulting. Previously, Thomas headed Daimler Buses’ India project and has worked in various international Sales and Controlling positions after joining Daimler in 1999. Thomas holds a graduate degree in business administration.

Evhen is a professional engineer, in 2006 he established the Interprojekt GmbH engineering company together with his brother Ivan Kun. Both brothers acquired technical education not only in Ukraine but in Germany and Austria. Within twelve years, the company has been developing design solutions for the agrarian sector of Ukraine and post-Soviet states. During this period of time, the engineering team designed and constructed more than three hundred and fifty facilities: from livestock farms to major elevators and mills.

In 2015, Evhen Kun started to attract engineers who specialize in creating technological solutions in the housing and communal sector. Now in the City department, headed by Evhen, twenty engineers work. The department starts its activities from conducting a technical audit of the city and town water utility companies (Vodokanals) and heat utility ones and completes the work cycle with establishing Logical Framework and algorithms for modernizing the key infrastructure of Ukrainian cities and towns, including the introduction of smart technologies. The company also has a strong IT team that has already set up a solution for smart agriculture and asset management and is currently developing Smart Water solutions for quality resource management in utility companies.

Over the last two years, Yevhen Kun’s team has gained a vast experience in implementing modernization projects in Zhytomyr, Novovolynsk, Voznesensk, Cherkasy, Kropyvnitsky and with other water utility companies. The company participates in the majority of tenders for reconstruction and modernization of urban infrastructure and cooperates with international colleagues, creating consortia with Slovenian, Lithuanian, Polish, and Romanian companies.

Yevhen Kun dreams of establishing the Center for Urban Modernization, an institution which would attract the best engineers, accumulate experience of modernizing the Housing and Communal Services, unify professionals, technology providers, verify technical solutions of major modernization projects, working as an advisory body for the city authorities, which have an understanding of the importance of technological development.

Lenna Koszarny is Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Capital, appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2014, formerly serving as Founding Partner and Chief Financial Officer from 2006 and an officer of Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) since 2003.

Horizon Capital manages three funds focused on Ukraine and the near region, Emerging Europe Growth Fund II (EEGF ІІ), Emerging Europe Growth Fund (EEGF) and WNISEF, with over $600 million under management. Ms. Koszarny leads Horizon Capital, is a member of the Investment Committee of EEGF and EEGF II and serves on the board of several of Horizon Capital’s portfolio companies. Prior to co-founding Horizon Capital and joining WNISEF, Ms. Koszarny co-founded a leading consulting firm in Ukraine, EBS, in 1998.

Ms. Koszarny is a Board member of the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in Ukraine, an organization that unites over 600 members. She is also a Board member of Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA), an industry association that is a member organization of the Invest Europe. She is a Board member and Vice President of the Ukrainian World Congress representing over 20 million Ukrainians worldwide, a member of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Advisory Council in Ukraine, a member of the Supervisory Board of the German-Polish-Ukrainian Society in Ukraine and the first Vice-Chair of the Advisory Council of Kyiv-Mohyla Business School. Ms. Koszarny is a recipient of a Commemorative Medal issued on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of Independence by the President of Ukraine, in recognition of her long-standing contribution to the country.

Originally born in Canada, Ms. Koszarny has lived and worked in Ukraine for nearly 23 years. She is a Canadian CPA and received her HBA at the Ivey School of Business in Canada.

Ulyana Khromyak is a Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of UkraineInvest, a state agency supporting foreign investors in Ukraine and reporting to the Prime Minister. Ms. Khromyak is responsible for regional investment outreach, including capacity building in the regions and cooperation with existing investors to unlock new investments. She manages a team of UkraineInvest representatives in Western, Central, Southern and Eastern Ukraine and collaborates closely with state authorities throughout Ukraine.

Ulyana has more than 12 years of professional legal experience representing transnational corporations doing business in Ukraine. She worked as a lawyer in major Ukrainian and international law firms, most recently with Clifford Chance where she assisted foreign investors.

Ulyana is a graduate of Ivan Franko Lviv National University, was a visiting student at Queen Mary College (University of London) and had a number of internships in private and public sectors.

He studied Economics in Bonn, later obtaining a Doctorate in International Economics at the Sorbonne, University of Paris.

He subsequently worked in a number of different international organizations and companies.

From 1989-1999 he was Deputy Mayor and Economics Development Officer of the city of Trier, with responsibility for economic development, tourism and public order, and waste and recycling management.

Since then he has been involved in a variety of voluntary and charitable initiatives involving the general training of young politicians in basic ethical and political principles, and likewise in promoting know-how transfer in the field of local government in Eastern and Southeastern Europe, in close collaboration with the Robert Schuman Foundation.

Cees Donkers is urban designer for City of Eindhoven. He was raised, studied and graduated at the Technical University Eindhoven and lives in the White Village in Eindhoven, a famous architecural design by W.M.Dudok. He organized urban debates in the nineties called QAFE in a small theater called PLAZA FUTURA to discuss the quality of the city and invited young students to produce videoclips about their ideas for the future. He was succesful in protesting agains demolishing of the White Lady, a former Philips industrial buiilding. From that moment on in 1993 he became involved as a professional for the City Department in the proces of transformation of this former industrial Philips-town into a design-city (masterplan STRIJP-zone: Westcorridor). He was able to design public spaces in the hart of the city, develop and re-use former industrial buildings into a new attractive second life. As founder of the Architectural Center in 1997 he got involved in the organisation of the Dutch Design Week and became coordinator and tutor at the Technical University for the collaboration program called E+ using the ‘City as a Laboratory’ to do research with Technical University and Design Academy in 2003. In 2009 the virtual E+ Academy (later Brabant Academy) was founded by him to continu this cooperation even without having a budget. In 2010 the international collaboration with countries like Poland, Italy, Serbia (Belgrade Design Week) and more specific Russia was translated into the NERU-studio (NEtherlands-RUssia). Young designers and students take part in this studio through internships, masterclasses and Summercourses. Topics like 60+/30- (communities of generations), SHARE and CARE, WISE CITY, Society2.0, BRAINFIELD, Pearl, DDD Dream dare do and Sexy Urbanism. Results are presented in magazines and exhibitions every year during the Dutch Design Week in the Eindhoven Cityhall or since the 1st Brabant Biennal in 2012 more specific in the City Church and new ‘breeding places’ in the city for communities of young independent designers.

Since 2013 he is member of the Dutch LOC, board for ISCOARP (International Society for Urban Planners). He joined with a mission: to invite the young generation to get involved in another 50 years of ISOCARP starting in 2015 with an interactive digital platform www.isocarp2015.org.

The Conference in October 2015 was held in the Netherlands during the Dutch Design Week. Eindhoven was one of the 10 participating cities and the program was focussed on the young professionals: ‘YP in the lead’.

Since 2014 Cees is involved as core member in the GEF-network, Global Education Futures to study innovation in education.

Since 2015 he is member of the Quality Board of the Society of Dutch Urban Designers (BNSP).

After 40 years Cees retired from the City Department during the Dutch Design Week 2015 with an International Conference E+FF (Education Futures Forum) in the City-hall and started his urban studio/foundation QASE (Quality in Architecture, Society and Education). In 2018 he started an European exchange project PIXEL CITIES together with NATLAB and City Embassy Eindhoven.

Claire Roumet is Director of Energy Cities, the European association of local authorities in energy transition. Energy Cities opens dialogue between Mayors and EU institutions to accelerate the energy transition of European cities, with the example of its pioneer 1000 members located in 30 countries. Democratise, Devolve, and Divest the energy system is our agenda to support cities in transforming their communities.  She joined the team of Energy cities 3 years ago after 10 years as Secretary General of Housing Europe, the Federation of social housing providers. She is French and graduated in economics. She has done a post-graduate in European policies in Strasbourg after a year of econometrics in Mainz, Germany.  Living in Brussels, she speaks English, Spanish and French with some German.

Andriy Berestian is General Manager of Danfoss Ukraine. Danfoss is a Danish engineering company that provides energy efficient solutions for city infrastructure: communal facilities, industry, residential and commercial construction sector.

Andriy joined the Ukrainian office in 1997, taking the lead of it in 2017. Apart from Ukraine, he is also responsible for a company’s business development in Georgia.

Andriy graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, earning the degree in engineering. He also studied business-administration at Henley Management College (the UK).

Under Andriy’s lead, Danfoss in Ukraine actively participates in the development of national construction and technical standards, and respective legislation.

On the part of the business, it is Danfoss who successively plays one of the key roles in turning Ukraine’s economy to energy efficiency, advocating new approaches and relevant thinking culture.

Elena Rybak is the Managing Director of iC consulenten in Ukraine since February 2013. iC consulenten is an Austrian engineering company working in multiple technical fields, including Buildings & Structures, Energy & Environment, Construction & Project Management, Transport & Logistics, Geology & Geotechnical engineering, Water management, Tunnelling.

Since January 2013, Elena is a Board Member of the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA), prior to which she has been its Director since its establishment in 2009. Under Elena’s leadership, EUEA became the leading platform for promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in Ukraine, bringing together more than 40 market leaders actively working on Ukraine’s sustainable development. Prior to joining EUEA Elena was the Country Manager for Swedish-Ukrainian Business Club and Programme Coordinator of “Nordpraktik – New Managers for Ukraine” (project financed by Swedish International Development Agency – SIDA).

Elena holds Professional MBA in Energy Management from Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Executive Academy, 2017), the Business Administration degree from International Christian University-Kyiv and is an alumna of several international exchange and leadership programmes.

Svyatoslav Pavlyuk works as an Executive Director of EECU- Association of Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine, which aims at improvement of the capacity of municipalities to plan and implement sustainable development and energy efficiency programs in their efforts to modernize the municipal infrastructure.

Svyatoslav received an interesting experience of work in non-profit and commercial sectors, what also includes promoting the reforms agenda on the local and national levels and providing advisory to Governmental structures in the number of spheres including energy efficiency, good governance, public administration reform, integration with EU.

As a Head of Association of Energy Efficient cities of Ukraine and expert for  Reanimation Package of Reforms public movement, he is lobbying for better energy efficiency legislation at Parliament and Government.

Svyatoslav worked with a number of USAID and EU – funded initiatives including EU Covenant of Mayors, Poland-America-Ukraine Cooperation Initiative (PAUCI), Freedom House and EU Phare/Tacis Democracy Programme.
In 2014 Svyatoslav Acted as a Head of the group developing Municipal Utilities sector reform strategy for Ukraine with the office of Deputy Prime Minister Groysman at the time.

Svyatoslav is also a member of Nestor Group, an informal alliance of intellectuals and civic activists created with the aim to develop a strategic vision for Ukraine.

PERSONAL INFO

Oleksandr was born on March 24, 1982 in Khmelnytskyi. In 1999, he graduated from the Khmelnitsky National University with a degree in Economics Management. Married, has a daughter and a son.

WORK

From 1997 to 2006 Oleksandr was engaged in the Club of Funny and Inventive (KVN) activities. From 2006 to 2010 Mr. Pedan was a TV-presenter at the Comedy Club.UA project.

Since 2008 Oleksandr Pedan has been a TV presenter at the Novyi Channel, where he hosted the morning show “Up”, the shows “Make me laugh”, “Intuition”, “Pack the Trunks”, “CabrioSummer”, “Pedan-Prytula Show”, “Heart of the Three”, “Cheap and Easy”, “Mesmerized Celebrities”, and acted as a judge of the show ” Who is up?”.

In the meantime, Oleksandr actively promotes his social media: his Instagram totals almost 500 thousand subscribers, and more than 110 thousand on the YouTube channel.

SPORTS
Oleksandr has embraced more than 30 sports and is not going to stop. The most favorite are surfing, snowboarding, soccer and running. In 2013, supported by the US Embassy in Ukraine Mr. Pedan visited the United States under the International Exchange Alumni Program and studied the American sports model, ways and means of the US sports development.

Now he actively applies the gained knowledge here in Ukraine, having established the JuniorZ sports movement in November 2017. This initiative will help Oleksandr and his colleagues change the physical education system in schools. His team wants to make sports a fun for kids and thus promotes such sports as cheerleading, petanque, horting, floorball, badminton, korfball, rugby, sumo and frisbee.

In close cooperation with city councils, Mr. Pedan and JuniorZ experts have already held 9 workshops in 9 cities for more than 900 teachers of physical education. Being supported by the local authorities they’ve purchased UAH 100,000 worth sports goods for schools in Khmelnytskyi and Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi.

Since its inception, the JuniorZ movement organized 2 all-Ukrainian and 2 school league fests, attended by more than 3000 kids.

Since October 2015, she is a deputy of the Kiev Regional Council of the VII convocation and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Kyiv Oblast Council on Budget and Finance.

Particular attention in his work pays attention to the issues of transparency of the formation, filling and execution of budgets of all levels, efficient use of financial resources of local communities, rational allocation and development of local budget funds in the conditions of decentralization.

As Vice- President of the Ukrainian Association of Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprises, «Ukrvodokanalekologiya» is actively involved in the reform of the housing and communal services sector in Ukraine. In particular, she initiated and developed many changes to the current legislation in the area of improving tariff policy in the sphere of housing and communal services and the creation of uniform rules for providing housing and communal services to the population according to new standards of quality. She has experience in developing and implementing the concept of a smart city as part of a team of experts in the sphere of housing and communal services of the Kyiv Smart City project, including the introduction of an effective model of management of housing and communal services (water, energy, solid household waste, waste water, use and conservation of renewable energy sources).

Davor Cilic has 32 years of professional experience out of which 22 year in state administration of the Republic of Croatia. He was Deputy State Secretary for development strategy and coordination of EU funds responsible for technical assistance and institution building of Croatian state administration in line with EU pre-accession requirements. Main areas of responsibilities were strengthen democratic institutions and the rule of law, institutional capacity of municipalities, public administration reform, economic reforms, human and minority rights, gender equality, development of civil society and dialogue between the government and non-governmental bodies, regional cooperation as well as reconciliation and reconstruction, sustainable development and poverty reduction. He has wide experience in institutional capacity building and training, within the context of local government, state administration and non-governmental organisations.

Among other tasks, he was member of the Working Group on Chapter 22 Regional Policy and the Co-ordination of Structural Instruments and Working Group on Chapter 30 External Relations. Davor was also member of Steering Committee for Decentralisation of State Administration and examiner at state exams for civil servants in Republic of Croatia.

In March 2014  after the Revolution of Dignity  Andriy Pyshnyy became the Chairman of  Oschadbank. The new top management team, headed by  Pyshnyy, inherited the largest and oldest banking network – more than 5 thousand branches and 35 thousand employees.  Three years on   Oschadbank has transformed into a modern financial institution. The branch network and the banking services are being undergone renovations – almost 600 branches of a new innovative format, new web- and mobile-banking, a powerful card business has been created.  For the third year in a raw, the Bank has been the leader in deposits attracting and heads the sectoral rating “Top 50 Ukrainian Banks”.

In 1996   graduated from Chernivtsi State University, specialty – jurisprudence. In 2005  graduated from the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of the NBU.  From 1996 to 2000 he worked as an assistant to the Chair of Constitutional, Administrative and Financial Law of the Chernivtsi State University.  In 2000  Andriy Pyshnyy started his career at Oschadbank in the position of the  Head of the Legal Department. Being in the position of the Acting  Chairman of the Management  Board in 2007 he left the Bank but remained among the members of the Supervisory Board. From 2007 to 2009 he held the position of the Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine. In 2012  Andriy  Pyshnyy was elected a  Member of the Ukrainian  Parliament.
